The Nile is the
longest river in the world – the 6,853 km (4,258 miles) takes you through
eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda.
In particular, the Nile is the primary water resource and life artery for Egypt
and Sudan. The Nile ends in a large delta that empties into the Mediterranean
Sea.
